GAIR (Gagnef Artist-in-Residence Programme) is a non-profit cultural association founded in 2016, aiming to create a place in Dalarna where Swedish and international artists can stay and focus on their work during a period of time. The residency is situated in Gagnef and collaborates with the art space Missionen and the Museum of Ottilia Adelborg, depending on their physical spaces as well as benefiting their expertise and knowledge about Dalarna´s cultural heritage. GAIR is a summer residency program with studios housed by the museum, in an old nearby warehouse. The residency is supported by the Swedish Arts Grants Committee, the County Council of Dalarna and Gagnef Municipality amongst others.

GAIR is founded by Sara Rossling and Mattias Norström and the two first years, (2017-2018), is presented as an artistic research project curated by Sara Rossling, launched in June 2017.
